About the Station

Sampler of Mark Zuckerman's music: piano solo, choral (English, Hebrew & Yiddish), chamber music, wind ensemble, and string orchestra.

About Mark Zuckerman

I've played in rock bands, swing bands, and bluegrass bands. I've sung in Yiddish choruses. My musical sensibilities as a composer, performer, and listener fuse these with a Princeton PhD in music composition. I was awarded a 2004 Artist Fellowship by the NJ State Council on the Arts and was recently a Visiting Professor of Music at Rutgers University.

This is a sampler of my music: On the Edges; a cappella choral music in English, Yiddish, and Hebrew sung by the Goldene Keyt Singers; string orchestra music, played by the Seattle Sinfonia; String Quartet, recorded by the Momenta Quartet; Menagerie, a cycle of 6 French children's poems, for flute, soprano, and piano (recorded by Zara Lawler, Mary Ellen Callahan, and Margaret Kampmeier); and selections from the Year in Yiddish Song (Centaur Records), arrangements for a cappella chorus. Much of the music here is available on amazon.com. Some is on (mostly free) CDs available directly from me.
