The Hidden Sanctuary was built by a major music consumer who was shocked and amazed that there were so many talented artists out there who weren't being given their due. Previously, it was a station on Mp3.com with the focus being consumer driven at all costs. It was also a protest to the corporate giants who held this style of music back from the masses, thereby robbing so many people who would be potential fans of the multitalented artists represented. Many listeners agreed because by the time Mp3.com folded its doors to the indie artists, the Hidden Sanctuary amassed more than 10 million listeners in its few short years of net available music. Since then, the Hidden Sanctuary went the club route, the magazine route and now we would like to once again allow listeners across the globe to hear some of the best indie artists around without being limited to only the artists signed up to a particular website. With so many other goth stations picking up the torch from where we began, the HS decided to offer something a bit more unique. Here, you will find a home to gothabilly, rockabilly, surf, spook n' surf, synthpop, goth rock, avant garde and a few other varieties in between. It is sort of the soundtrack to the horror B-films of yesteryear that always had the greatest soundtracks.
