The world became a darker, sadder place on August 11, 2014. The day we lost such an amazing man, Robin Williams. He made millions around the world smile and laugh with his quirky humor and dramatic flair. He was enjoyed through standup comedy, TV, theatre, movies, and voice acting. From guzzling drinks through his finger and sitting on his head on a chair as Mork from Ork; to standing on his desk as English Professor John Keating in Dead Poet's Society, challenging his students to break out, find their own voice, and look at things in a different way; to his character Daniel Hillard dressing up as an old lady, Euphegenia Doubtfire, in Mrs. Doubtfire, just to be able to keep spending time with his kids after a bitter divorce; to his amazing array of voices in a single character, as the Genie in Aladdin; to his brilliant portrayal of Hunter "Patch" Adams in Patch Adams, where his journey to become a doctor is met with resistance because he believes "laughter is the best medicine". While we will not be able to enjoy any new material or performances by Robin Williams, (though there may be a few things he already finished working on that will carry out until 2015) his memory and legacy will live on forever in the works that we have already been blessed with.

Please join me in enjoying musician Danny Wright's wonderfully composed Tribute to Robin Williams, "A Smile That Lights My Dream". Currently available on Danny Wright's YouTube page. This beautiful piece of music will be available on iTunes, Amazon, and Danny Wright's website on Tuesday, September 2, 2014. Links will be provided at that time

Rest in Peace, Robin Williams, we can't thank you enough for all the smiles and laughter you have brought to all of our lives. To his family and friends, that he has left behind, I can't even imagine your grief and sorrow of losing such a beautifully gifted and unique person. My heart goes out to you. I wish you strength and courage to make it through this terrible time and many blessings as your heart and soul heal.
