About mr. radio

"Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio" was started in March of 2011 and is based out of Arlington, Texas. A former musician in high school who has an profound love for music. Smooth Jazz is my favorite genre. I love sharing sounds from my extensive collection that have a soothing/cooling affect on listeners. The music heard on “Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio” is taken from Mr. Radio’s personal collection of music; Artists such as Pieces Of A Dream, Kim Waters, Ronny Jordan, Lee Ritenour, and Candy Dulfer are just some of the many well know musicians that are played on the station. In addition, Mr. Radio has found a number of new and upcoming artists who he believes are on the way to stardom. The selection process for songs that are played is based on my feeling when I hear the song for the first time. In a lot of cases, it does not take more than a minute to feel the vibe of the songs. The DFW area lacks a portal to which area residents can get a fix of Smooth Jazz. Mr. Radio definitely can help fill the void and share with the whole world. Mr. Radio is passionate about his station, and continues to grow his audience. “Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio” gives artists the chance to get more exposure and it listeners the sounds to help make the day go by.

The world famous "O'Jays" Soul/R&B group of the 70's had a song called "I Love Music". The words say, "I love music; any kinda music. I love music, just as long as it's grooving"! Well Mr. Radio does love music, any kinda music. Just as long as it's grooving. In my opinion, that is just the way Smooth Jazz is. It is filled with lots of grooves; newly created songs, remakes of songs from days gone by, blends of vocals and smooth sounds, jazz fusion, jazz funk, and much more! I invite you to sit back and listen to sounds that sooth and are oh so smooth on the "Smooth Jazz by Mr. Radio" broadcast (!
