The New Makars Trust has made hundreds of new songs about the communities of Scotland. Professional songwriters worked in many communities from Arran to Anstruther via Forth, on buses and in museums, in schools and homes, with children, young or elderly people to create songs about where they live and their lives. Also, several thematic albums of songs have been created - Clydesdale horses, the VC winners of Lanarkshire, The Convenanters.
