I DON T KNOW WHY - NS2 VS LEROY JONES 7 - TREBLE O........**** OUT NOW! ****

Treble O proudly presents NS2 vs LJ7 “I Don’t Know Why”. The track is a stripped down electronic lament for a doomed relationship. The backing track is a mangling of Broken Beat, Dub Step and Electro, whilst the vocal is heartfelt and warm on a soulful reggae vibe. This exciting juxtaposition caught the attention of Domu, owner of Treble O. He played the track on BBC 1xtra whilst covering for Benji B and was impressed with the reaction to it. The tracks creator, Nick Stenning (NS2) was bought to Domu’s attention by mutual friend and vocalist Vaceo. NS2 is a DJ and vinyl collector from South London, with a passion for 80’s Boogie, old school Electro, House and Broken Beat. He met Leroy Jones 7 for a second time at a Lee Perry gig and they decided to record together, after both men expressed love for Soul and Dub Reggae music. Leroy Jones 7 is a singer/songwriter from North London who has worked with Neneh Cherry, Jamelia, Gregory Isaacs, Keb Mo and Reggae giant Jimmy Cliff. Leroy cites Curtis Mayfield, Pablo Augustus and even Beethoven as his early influences. Included alongside the original club mix, radio and instrumental versions is a remix by the mysterious Zoltar, an alias of multi-styled producer Domu. This version transports the track to the realms of Soulful House, adding Rhodes and synth lines to compliment Leroy’s vocal, whilst retaining the raw and funky groove with the beats.
