About Mamono Hunter Stevie

Stevie was always interested in radio, even from a very young age... often recording mock radio shows with his friends as a way to spend an afternoon. In college, he immediately got involved in the campus radio station, eventually ending up as the station manager before he graduated... it was also in college when Stevie was first introduced to the world of Japanese animation, starting with the movie "Akira" and expanding from there into a full-blown love of all aspects of Japanese culture!

A few years after graduation, Stevie was given the chance to merge his love of both radio broadcasting and modern Japanese music when he started the Radio 1/2 show at WSPN 91.1 FM in Saratoga Springs, NY on Memorial Day weekend in 1997... the show is still going strong 15 years later, bringing Skidmore College and the whole world two hours of the best in Asian pop and rock music every Saturday night!

By popular demand, Stevie has now started Radio Saiko to allow people who can't join the Radio 1/2 show live to still follow the show... and also bring even more great J-POP music to fans 24/7~!
