The current playlist has been added due to the new found interest in early 80s punk-funk. In the early 80s,after the demise of the second wave of punk,bands like The Pop Group,23 Skidoo and Josef K,flirted with funk to create a new,raw edged and particularly British sound.American acts such as James Chance and Pylon had similar ideas,and a flood of bands followed.The music had it's heyday between 1980-1984. Now a younger audience has started to take an interest in these long lost gems. Some of the best examples of the genre can be heard here,along with a few old and relatively new punk and new wave tracks.
