About SakeBito-san

As the name "Amanogawa" suggests, you have just signed onto a pan-galactic hunt for a treasure that's become increasingly rare, especially   in the North American region of planet Earth: Melody.

We will also be looking for music that is upbeat and uplifting - because we're only as happy as the music we listen to, and the pursuit of happi-ness is why we're all here, neh?

At the present time North America is suffering from a bizarre cultural ill-ness in which things like melody and harmony - and just plain fun - are almost entirely absent from music; fortunately there are plenty of other places we can find these things, and that is where we're going.

So hang on tight and keep your ears wide open.

P.P.S.: The profile artwork you see here is created entirely by me,  SakeBito-san - so please do not use the image without linking directly to this station.

P.P.P.S.: The lopsided ratio of female-to-male vocalists on this station is generally unintentional, but I think it's because: a.) the current style for male vocalists in Japan (even some of the metal guys!) sounds annoying-ly similar to that guy in Spandau Ballet, b.) there are plenty of stations here already that play nothing but hard rock fronted by male vocalists, and c.) like most hard rock fans,  in my rebellious teens I totally missed out on the simple, alien beauty that is the female voice - so it's further "exploring of the space," as the 'Labbits put it. 8^]
