We will play any artist who is creating from a soul level. We don't care about genres.

This is a very eclectic station. The artists we play, in additon to our own performance group, MANY VOICES of SOULSPEAK, are soul artists from every corner of the musical world.

We don't care what's popular today.

What we care about are performances that move us on a deep level.

We play Mexican cantos, Austrailan digiridoo, Egyptian dirges, Gregorian chant, experimental soundscapes, electronic music, spontaneous oral poetry, pop, soul, post classical, ambient, blue grass, slam poets, rappers, in short, anything that's the real thing, that moves us.

When we say we play artists creating from a soul level, we mean the same thing as our black brothers, but just to clarify that a bit, we also mean the same thing as Plato and Plotinus: artists who are creating from their deepest, most essential beings.

For us, the soul is that mysterious, instinctive part of us that loves and grieves on its own time and that communicates through dreams, visions, intimations, songs, music, poems.

As E. E. Cummings once said: "Since feeling is first why bother with ( anything else)."....We at SOULSPEAK couldn't agree more.

When it comes to our own work, every SOULSPEAK piece and soundtrack on Radio SOULSPEAK is created spontaneously, without forethought or premeditation.

We invite anyone who likes what they hear on our station to submit their art.

If it moves us, we'll try to find room to play it.

You can tell soul art by its sound. It's the sound inside the sound.

We like to think that SOULSPEAK has a sound like no other. You can hear that sound in the CDs and DVDs created by our artist group, MANY VOICES of SOULSPEAK.
