I am a DJ on local radio BBB FM where I've presented blues programmes for eight years or so and each week I post segments from my programme on the playlist. They come up at random times. The music comes from my own collection going back to the when I started collecting music in 1963 right up to current contemporary blues! I grew up in London, UK in the 60's when the blues scene was thriving and got to see many of the great American artists like Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Sonny Boy Williamson and John Lee Hooker. I also followed many of the British bands popular at the time like John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, the original Fleetwood Mac, Georgie Fame and the Blues Flames, Manfred Mann and Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds so you will hear some rare recordings by these artists taken from my old vinyl collection. As an FM DJ I like to keep right up to date but never forget my old favourites! Enjoy and if you like a tune make sure you rate it!! I'm always open to requests and suggestions but I try to find music that other stations don't feature so much. Some of it is pushing the boundaries of blues but I believe the music has to evolve. If you dig groovy blues with a touch of jazz then tune in! If you'd like to be on my mailing list please contact me via this page!
Right now I'm in the US for a few months so will be replaying some of my old FM programmes.
