WMMT is community licensed public radio station broadcasting at 88.7 on the FM band from the Appalshop, a media arts and cultural center, located in central Appalachia. Our air footprint covers eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia, and southwestern Virginia. The station features an eclectic musical mix covering everything but classical, heavy on bluegrass, mountain traditional, and americana/rocknroll. The voices you hear are from real people from all walks of life, all ages, all volunteers. Forget the cartoons of beverly hills...we are the voice of the Hillbilly Nation.
