It was formulated, produced, and hosted by Gomez with a revolving door of co-hosts throughout the years. The final WWHR broadcast was in May of 2009 due to graduation from WKU, and the show was moved to WVQC-LP in Cincinnati with the first online broadcast in December of 2010. The show serves several purposes. First, it promotes new and upcoming bands who are looking to gain recognition and make a name for themselves in underground music. Secondly, it is used to promote and cater to listeners who have been desperate to be able to hear their favorite bands on the radio. Finally, it exposes new ears to a unique, enduring, and passionate group of artists which, despite never receiving mainstream status, have captivated listeners throughout the world for the better part of 30 years...
